I am slowly falling in love with health and fitness, but it has been a long road. I have been struggling with weight loss for most of my adult life and battling PCOS as well as IBS for the last 5 years. I was making a little progress with my health when our family size went from 3 to 7. I was a single mom to my 15 month old when I met my husband. We got married almost three years later and it was just the three of us for a little over seven years. That’s when things really got crazy.

My bonus child came to live with us from Jamaica (hubby is Jamaican), I had a singleton, and then twins…this happened all in less than a year. Obviously, it became harder to focus on myself, stay motivated, and not neglect my family. Still, something needed to change. I looked for help and I found very little that related to my life all in one place. Over the years, I have learned how to take better care of myself while caring for my large family, earning my Communications degree, and I am currently working on my Personal Trainer Certification so I can obtain my Health Coach Certification.

And most importantly, I decided to create a space where moms can be encouraged, get tips, share ideas, and essentially grow while we all struggle and strive to live a healthier happier lifestyle.

I enjoy sharing my journey with anyone, and I’m no longer surprised when people ask me “Girl, how do you do it?”. Honestly, by the grace of God. My faith has been a key role in everything I do. (But don’t worry, I’m not trying to convert you, unless you want me to!) 🙂 Nevertheless, taking it one day at a time is all anyone can do as we live day-to-day in this amazing life.
